Why choose JPG?
JPEG can make photographic PNGs much smaller. The quality control helps balance file size against visible compression.
What changes in this conversion?
JPEG does not support transparency. Transparent pixels are flattened onto your chosen background, and fine text can show compression artifacts.
How to convert PNG to JPG
- Choose a still PNG file with the file picker, or drag it into the workspace.
- Select JPG as your output format. Start at 90% quality. Use white for a neutral background, or choose a color that matches where the image will be displayed.
- Choose Convert, then download your file. For a batch, Download ZIP collects successful results.
Limits and browser compatibility
Still images use native decoding and encoding where supported, with a local WebP encoder fallback. Output is 8-bit sRGB; original metadata, HDR range and wide-gamut precision are not archived. Standard inputs are capped at 100 MB, 50 MP on desktop and 16 MP on mobile or low-memory devices, subject to memory limits.
Does my file leave my device?
No. The worker reads your file locally and creates your download in browser memory. Original metadata is always removed. The output uses 8-bit sRGB pixels.
Can I convert a batch?
Yes. Select up to 24 files within the 256 MB batch limit. Each file is processed separately, so a failed image does not prevent the others from completing.
