Your images stay with you.
Conversion happens in your browser. Your photographs are never sent to a conversion server.
What happens when you choose a file
The browser reads the selected file locally. A Web Worker validates the header, decodes the pixels, resizes when requested, and encodes the output. Download links refer to temporary objects in browser memory. ZIP archives are assembled locally.
What the website requests over the network
The site requests its own HTML, CSS, JavaScript, icons and social preview assets. RAW, HEIC/HEIF and AVIF processing, and fallback WebP encoding, download bundled codecs from this website only when needed. Navigating a page may request that page’s static data.
No original or converted images, thumbnails, filenames, image metadata or GPS information are transmitted. There are no analytics, advertisements, remote fonts, upload endpoints or third-party conversion services in this application.
Hosting and external links
The hosting provider receives ordinary web-request information, such as your IP address, request path and user-agent, and may keep access logs under its own policy. Visiting the separately linked QR Studio is a visit to a different website.
Metadata and color
EXIF, GPS, original timestamps and original ICC profile metadata are not copied into the download. Browser encoders may add their own format metadata. Orientation is applied during decoding, and output is rendered through an 8-bit sRGB canvas. Wide-gamut and HDR inputs can look different from their originals.
Local storage and file lifetime
Only your light, dark or system theme preference is stored in localStorage. Images are not saved in localStorage, IndexedDB or a service-worker cache. Clearing a file or leaving the page releases its temporary download URLs. Keep any original files you need.
Limits and compatibility
Conversion may fail if a file is corrupt, unsupported or too large for your device. Read the format and browser limitations before relying on experimental RAW output.
